Creating the right corporate culture is an essential part of your long-term success. But, it doesn't just happen. Those responsible for the organization's success need to craft the right corporate culture by clearly communicating behavioral expectations and, through feedback, promote the desired culture.

A major part of leading your team, either staff or volunteers, will depend on your ability to engage them in the organization's mission. In turn, their engagement is a function of the organizational culture that you create, and over the long-term, it will be likely be more important to your nonprofit's sustainability than your available resources. A healthy corporate culture, with engaged employees and volunteers, will contribute in multiple and often unforeseen ways.
